Skin Peels

At Advanced Laser Clinic we offer medical grade skin peels from Dermaceutic Laboratoire. As a pioneer in the development of peels, Dermaceutic has created an expert range that is proven to effectively treat complex skin concerns.

Peeling is essentially an accelerated and controlled form of exfoliation. Peels induce faster sloughing of damaged, superficial skin cells and the destruction of these specific layers of skin uses the natural inflammatory reaction to produce new collagen. The end result is an increase in skin volume, which tightens superficial skin layers and leads to a reduction in superficial wrinkles, fine lines, large pores and a reduction in unwanted superficial pigmentation.

Freckles, sun spots, hormonal pigmentation and even acne, respond very well to treatment with medical grade face peels.

Mask Peel Treatment (acne prone skin)

Mask Peel is a calming, clay-based peel that treats common skin conditions such as acne, excess sebum, dilated pores, and texture irregularities.

This superficial treatment exfoliates and chemically removes keratinised structures of the epidermis, resulting in a balanced, homogeneous skin tone.

Frequently asked questions

What are the benefits of a peel?

A peel will give the skin a more luminous complexion and help to even out the skin tone. It is good for improving conditions such as acne scarring, pigmentation and fine lines and wrinkles.

Do I have to prepare for my first peel?

It is highly recommended that patients use the homecare regimen prescribed by our clinician to prepare the skin and get the most out of the treatment. You must start the skin care program at least 2 weeks before the first peel.

What happens during a Skin Peel procedure?

A procedure lasts between 15 and 30 minutes and takes place as follows: cleaning, application of the peel, and neutralization. Some peels are performed as a series of 4 sessions, which take place over the course of several weeks.

What active ingredients are used?

In superficial peels, AHA and BHA (alpha hydroxy acid and beta hydroxy acid) are used, particularly glycolic acid, the smallest fruit acid molecule. In medium peels, the most widely used agent is TCA (Trichloroacetic acid).

What is a peel?

A peel is an acceleration of the skin’s natural exfoliation. It is a non-invasive and progressive technique.

What does a professional peel feel like?

When the peeling agent is applied, you will feel some tingling and a warm sensation.

What are the effects?

Depending on the intensity of the peel, you may observe a sensation similar to mild sunburn, slight flaking, or peeling for about 3 days following the treatment.
