Acne Twinlight Treatment for all ages

Acne
Twinlight Treatment

Fotona offers a laser acne treatment protocol which extends a comprehensive solution to the acne problem. The precisely controlled Nd:YAG laser light penetrates the skin safely and effectively targets the overactive sebaceous glands and reduces the risk of development of new acne inflammation.

Fotona extends a complimentary laser treatment which is based on a precise and gentle skin resurfacing procedure for improving the appearance of acne scars. The procedure involves  the Er:YAG laser beam to be absorbed by the top micro-layers of the skin. This is done for vaporizing the scarred tissue and stimulating the production of new collagen in the dermis.

Fast results, Without Side-Effects

For the treatment of active acne, Fotona’s laser treatment uses photoselective absorption and controlled heating effects for reducing the acne inflammation. The high powered Nd:YAG laser safely penetrates the skin to an ideal depth which thermally destroys overactive sebaceous glands. In addition to these effects, the Nd:YAG acne laser treatment also advances the healing process and works on stimulating collagen remodeling which is an important step in the long-term treatment of acne.

Gentle & Effective Acne Scar Revision

For treating problematic acne scars, Fotona's Er:YAG laser wavelength is ideal for gentle ablative scar revision. In this treatment, the Er:YAG laser is safely and effectively penetrated as per the minimal depth required for light resurfacing of acne-scarred skin, which is helpful in improvement of  skin texture and tone. Unlike chemical peels and dermabrasion, resurfacing of the laser skin allows to control the penetration depth precisely. The laser vaporizes micron-thin layers of the acne-scarred surface of the skin gently and reveals healthy, undamaged skin present beneath. It is a fast, safe and simple procedure.

Prior to Treatment

Every person wishing to be treated at Advanced Laser Clinic will require a consultation with our Laser Consultant prior to their first treatment.

At this appointment, we welcome all questions to advance your understanding of the treatment. There will be a consultation form to be completed about your health and medications to asses your eligibility for treatment.

At our clinic, we perform a patch test on your skin to ensure that the laser settings are suitable for you. If there are no reactions 24 hours after your patch test, we can commence your laser treatment.

Before laser therapy, it is very important to keep your treated area completely away from sun exposure. Your skin needs to be protected from the sun for a minimum of two weeks before any treatment commences. This should be taken care of both before and after the treatment. In this treatment, the lasers provide specific heat at a specific depth in your tissue to produce a desired outcome. However, this outcome can be exacerbated if exposed to sun and may even cause unwanted side effects.
